The private lake area was lovely, but room lacked a safe for valuables.

It was just an ideal choice for one night in Cardiff with all in all brilliant value for money. The staff were very friendly and the bed was reasonably comfortable, which helped us unwind after a busy day.

The facilities were great, especially the pool area and the beautiful lake view from my room. Such a peaceful vibe, felt like being home.

We booked two rooms and wanted them together, but they said they couldn’t do that because of an extra bed. One room had a smoke smell, so they moved it close to the other, which was odd. The pool was fun for the kids, and we got towels. The breakfast buffet was decent but not super fresh. The hotel felt kinda worn out.

This stay at the hotel was lovely! The breakfast spread was especially impressive. we all enjoyed the buffet with everything from fry ups to pastries. The view from our room overlooking the serene lake was such a peaceful way to wake up, making our family trip quite memorable.

My children wished there were more activities available for kids.

The staff were very friendly, especially a lovely lady, she went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, best croissants I’ve had in years, even better than France! !

The room was spacious and had a lovely wide bed, which was super comfy! But the headboard felt a bit hard, and my partner accidentally banged her head on it a couple of times. No safe for valuables was a bummer, and it would’ve been nice to have two luggage racks instead of just one. The mini fridge came empty, which felt a bit off for a 4-star hotel. Shower control was stiff, and the bathroom floor was cold on bare feet. decent but some room for improvement!

Really enjoyed my stay here! The pool and sauna provided the perfect relaxation after a busy day exploring the city. Only wish the room was a tad more modern, but the hearty breakfast made up for it—and don't skip the pastries! 🍽️
