Good price, but needs a revamp
We booked two rooms and wanted them together, but they said they couldn’t do that because of an extra bed. One room had a smoke smell, so they moved it close to the other, which was odd. The pool was fun for the kids, and we got towels. The breakfast buffet was decent but not super fresh. The hotel felt kinda worn out.

This stay at the hotel was lovely! The breakfast spread was especially impressive. we all enjoyed the buffet with everything from fry ups to pastries. The view from our room overlooking the serene lake was such a peaceful way to wake up, making our family trip quite memorable.
My children wished there were more activities available for kids.

The hotel's location is superb, providing easy access to Cardiff. Staff members are incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience enjoyable. the decor feels quite dated, and some amenities like room cleanliness could use improvement. Breakfast choices were good but could have had more variety.

Solo traveler seeking quality experience
The staff were very friendly, especially a lovely lady, she went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, best croissants I’ve had in years, even better than France! !
It wasn't exactly cheap, but still acceptable I suppose.

Had a fantastic group vacation with friends! The hotel was modern and comfortable. We visited nearby attractions and enjoyed the private lake, which was a great spot for downtime. The breakfast was generous – plenty of options! Definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway.
The only downside was the lack of a safe in the room, which would be a useful feature for storing valuables.

The cozy décor gave a warm, welcoming feeling, perfect for a relaxing stay. The accessibility features made moving around easy, ensuring comfort and convenience for everyone, especially seniors like me who appreciate thoughtful touches.
More signage to navigate the hotel would be helpful.

missingWrote a review on 20 Julspacious roomcomfortable bedempty mini fridgelack of safecold bathroom floor
The room was spacious and had a lovely wide bed, which was super comfy! But the headboard felt a bit hard, and my partner accidentally banged her head on it a couple of times. No safe for valuables was a bummer, and it would’ve been nice to have two luggage racks instead of just one. The mini fridge came empty, which felt a bit off for a 4-star hotel. Shower control was stiff, and the bathroom floor was cold on bare feet. decent but some room for improvement!

Really enjoyed my stay here! The pool and sauna provided the perfect relaxation after a busy day exploring the city. Only wish the room was a tad more modern, but the hearty breakfast made up for it—and don't skip the pastries! 🍽️
